In media practice, this idea is know as Transfer.

So, what is TRANSFER in Media parlance?

By associating themselves with the established name, they hope to transfer some of that popularity and recognition to their own work.

The idea is closely related to Transference in psychology.

In both media and psychology, the idea of transfer highlights the potential benefits that can arise from affiliating with something or someone well-regarded or influential. It recognizes the power of association and the ability to ride on the wave of another’s popularity to enhance one’s own position, reputation, or growth.

Enough said. How can this be achieved to grow a page from 0-10k in 30-90 days?

During presidential election, one of the most popular identity was Peter Obi and Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Here’s what we did for one of our clients to to achieve transference.

We created a page associated with Peter Obi and the Obi-Dient Movement and because we knew that a lot of people are hungry to hear about Peter Obi and his ideologies, we kept feeding the page with News about Peter Obi, text, image and videos of him.

Before the election, people were actively searching for ‘Peter Obi’ and becsuse our contents were fully focused on that, Facebook algorithm reward us with free reach.

We kept appearing on searches.

And become people were deeply in love with Peter Obi, they were always willing to LIKE and FOLLOW any outlet that talks good about him.

Boooooom!!!!!

People flocks in. They love us, because we are seemingly ‘Obi-Dient’.

They share our contents, and we keep supplying them with more addictive content of Peter Obi.

Sometimes, we castigate the other opponents with sound argument wrapped with strong emotions.

We keep growing.

We had 100s and thousands of engagements, of course, not all followed immediately.

Thankfully, we had the ability to INVITE anyone that engaged on our content without following us to follow us.

And because majority are ‘Obi-Dient’, they followed immediately they got the invite because there was always something new for them.

Did we stop there?
No.

Sometimes, we incentivize these people. We ask them to invite other if their ‘Obi-Dient’ friends.

And some other strategies we adopted.

Here’s the thing.

When we ask them to invite their friends, some went as far as invite more than 100 people. Do the maths.

If 100 people invite 50 people each.

If 200 people invite 100 people each.

If 50 people invite 20 people each.

Do the maths.

And because they were incentivized, they did it even more.

Some can invite more than 100 people per day.
